Well, I've been meaning to start up a new blog for quite some time, and as I procrastinate studying for a math test, I have finally gotten around to it. Now some of you might be saying "new blog? I didn't know there was an old blog..." Yes, there was an old blog, but it was full of rantings and used more for communication than blogging anything worth reading. This one is going to be more public.
The original URL for this was going to be 2.71, but blogger told me that I could use periods in the URL, so I had to spell it out. I also decided to up it to 2.718 because I want it accurate and I am not a fan of rounding up. Hopefully those of you interested in checking this often can remember the 4 digits it requires to get here. That, or bookmark it.
Those of you who weren't concerned with the new blog thing are probably asking yourself a different question: "Why are you studying for a math test? School hasn't even started for you yet..." Allow me to answer this with a story. Last year, I was about the only guy in my apartment who had homework on the first day of school. No, I wasn't bitter at all. I was just a little surprised that professors thought it was appropriate to give homework on the first day. It was quite a bit too. Well, this year, they have decided to give a midterm the first week of school. They aren't calling it a midterm, but oh, thats what it is. It is for my engineering math class. They want to make sure that no imbeciles are taking it for fun or anything like that. It is a pretest to ensure that you have kept up on your calculus through the summer. It is also worth the same value as one of your midterms. So... its a midterm the first week of class. I'm going to call it a 'start.'
There are going to be a few things from the old blog that will carry over to this one. One of them is the segment Brain Candy which is a play off of Derek's Ear Candy but instead of what I am listening to, it is going to be my current literary consumption. This week it is,
Calculus, 5th Edition by James Stewart
I'll bet you can guess why...
This is a new segment, but it has a tie to the old blog. This is a list of things that interest me, but a lot of it will actually just be a list of inside jokes to make certain people laugh. It title comes from the most interesting thing in the known universe...
Bombachus
- Hey, blogger has bullet points.
- Never go full retard. I know that this is about a protest, but ignore the whole protest part and just listen to what Black Iron Man says.
- XKCD

- It doesn't have to be a tree house. I choose secret passage ways through my future house. Either that... or a tree house.
Well, I'm back to math.
Okay, I was until Derek came over. We ended up playing Texas Hold'em and BS-ing. No, we had no deck of cards. We both downloaded the app on our iPhone/fake iPhone and played over the wireless network. It was fun. Much was discussed, but none of it was blog worthy. Now I think I am going to return to math, but I will probably find something more interesting, and then promptly go to bed.
